Major Events

Orientation (6th & 7th August, 2007)

Pioneer Media School organised a two day orientation programme to introduce the students to the media world.

The speakers present were:

Mr. Abhigyan Prakash - Sr. TV Journalist, NDTV
Mr. Sujit Sanyal - CEO, Imagine Advertising
Mr. Manoj Raghuvanshi - TV Anchor
Ms Suhasini Haider - Deputy Director (International News) CNN-IBN
Mr. Anil Rajput - Corp. Comm. Head – ITC
Mr. Chandan Mitra - Editor-in-chief, The Pioneer Group
Mr. Murad Ali Baig - Auto Journalist, Columnist

Each speaker gave the students a deeper insight to their field of expertise. The orientation programme was a three day preparation for what the course had in store for its students.

Convocation (10th August, 2007)

Pioneer Media School organised Convocation to give away diplomas to students completing their education. Convocation was an opportunity for students to celebrate their completion of diplomas, which was a fun filled evening also with cultural activities to set the mood and food to serve.

Samaa 2007 – Annual college fest (16th November, 2007)

Pioneer Media School organized SAMAA 2007 – Annual College Fest. 18 top Delhi University colleges participated in the fest. There was Debate competition, Street Play, Radio Jockey, Choreography, Fun games – Mummification, Scavenger hunt, etc. The fest was sponsored by Taurus Mutual Funds and debate by Indian Oil.

Picnic (6th Februray, 2008)

Students were taken for Picnic-cum-excursion at Surajkund Mela, Faridabad, Haryana.
It was a good mix of exposure towards crafts and culture of different states as well as a platform for students and staff members to interact informally. It was a funfilled event.

Alumni Meet 2008 (2nd March, 2008)

Alumni meet was held to establish the connection among the ex-students who now have become professionals. Alumni meet is a platform where all the ex-students meet, communicate build repute with each other and with the school as well.
